Shufti, looking marginally better than she did yesterday, has settled herself fairly inconspicuously in a booth. A waitrat brought her Teja's note, which she read with grim expression.
She's not sure she has the energy to deal with Teja today, but she makes a note to keep an eye out for him. Then she writes off a note.
( Mel )
With that, she exchanges the note with the waitrat for a cup of soup, and starts going through her notes again.
[OOM: Gus meets someone who rates worse than the Devil.
Warnings for Gus’ filthy language.]
Having been Bound by the bar, Hermione is making herself useful in the library today.
Mostly, it consists of familiarizing herself with the volumes upon volumes of magical information (learning so much more than she could ever have imagined; and thinking how wonderful it would be if such and such a book were included, or if there was a companion book to this subject that could be added to the collection), and dusting off the tables and lamps.
Every afternoon, she checks on her door - tugs at it a little just to make sure it's locked - before she busies herself once more.
While she loves this library (marvels at it, even), her anxieties over the outside world are ever present, regardless of the knowledge that time stops while she's here.
Still, books make her happy and the busy-work keeps her from going mad.
So, it is a quietly humming Hermione who may be chanced upon if you happen to come by the magical library.
Last IshiHime art from 2009 that I can't submit on time, so here you go for 2010.
I just decided (for second time) to let alone the lovey dovey stuff over IshiHime (which I love but I know is not the only side for this ship) Because I'm just your average angst/drama whore~ NOT TO MAKE YOU CRY
click, click~ :D
Ben hasn't gone home, not yet. Oh he's got a door, this time, and he's opened it 'least once a day, maybe more since tumbling into Milliways just to make sure that it does still open, but he don't really want to go back right now. Time freezes, so it ain't like he has to, and he's had it up to fuckin' here with dust and dirt and nightmares.
Not like the nightmares stop, still wakes up in the night from blood and wars that he ain't never been in so he don't got no call to be rememberin' them 'cept he does. But he can clean himself up, at least and he does do that much, shaves for the first time in a while an' washes his clothes (had to after that crazy lady threw ink on him) so that means that he's lookin' a hell of a lot cleaner 'n he usually does, down in the bar today. Looks younger too, maybe, without the stubble.
Anyhow point is he's in the bar lookin' something like respectable for once (or as respectable as an Oklahoma farmboy's ever gonna get) and tuckin' into a plate of food, steak'n'potatoes, looks like.
At the rate he's goin', they're gonna be gone in a few minutes which is good 'cause he don't really talk and eat. That said, he's always a little more relaxed on a full belly.
And he won't say it, not out loud, but could be he'd like a little company.

Dinah is out in the training grounds, her usual cloth robes replaced by her monogrammed qi, while she works over a punching bag as thoroughly as she can.
She's getting all the karate practice she can handle in what she still considers the 'Real World', but there are other disciplines she needs to stay on top of. And of those, Boxing is the best for precticing on your own. She'll switch to Pankration in an hour or so.
Jim's taken Rachat all the way out by the mountains. The cold and snow seem to both neither rider nor horse. And Jim has a thermos full of really good coffee (made with the beans that Ensign Rager got him for the holidays). Looking back, Jim sees nothing but woods. No woods, no building. Just woods. The topology of things here is, to put it mildly, perplexing.
Later, Jim will ride Rachat back at speeds close to dangerous and then head in for a fresh cup. So if you don't see him all the way out here, you could find him inside by the fireplace. Right now, though, Jim is pondering nature.

Disclaimer: O HAI THERE TITE KUBO! What? You want to give me the rights to Bleach? Aww, you shouldn’t have! ...no, wait, I was joking when I said that!! Give me those rights!
Author Note (optional): Today while I was at work my ponytail holder snapped. So I decided to be like little!Byakuya, and use the two ends to tie my hair into a pony. I learnt a valuable lesson. Bleach + Reality = NO CONNECTION.
This drabble contains spoilers for the Zanpakuto filler arc. If you haven’t watched it, I pity your soul.
Oh, and sorry if I didn’t mentioned this before, but all these are nonlinear unless otherwise stated. And now, please enjoy our featured presentation. (Yes, I stole that off of you, LIADW!)
The Dating Game
One Man in Black at the bar. No, not the one who likes coming here. It's the other one.
He's probably not in the mood to see you either. Not that that should stop you.
Zed's passing the time until the damn Landlord will let him leave again by playing with that one iPhone, the one Agent B fixed so it can contact MiB Headquarters again. Zed's trying to see how many times he can call HQ before the tap to the Earth's core unleashes a quake and plunges Manhattan into the Atlantic.
Because, dammit, if he's unhappy then everybody should be unhappy.
So you might want to distract him from that.
It's the boys you know in the place you go when you want something better than a latte. Or a Molson's.
The actual bar. Not some other bar you might've seen them in.
And the fuzz on their suits? Is just lint.
But they do have their tea, mags and silent conversation going.
Mmmm but that is a good tea they be drinking...
You wanna join them?
[Tiny Tag: Crimson Twins]
Jamie's got one eye behind him as he tumbles into the bar, looking rather incongruously dapper in a smart waistcoat and cap.
He eyes the silver candlesticks in his hand rather ruefully - much good they'll do him now!
Enzo sidles up to the Bar and asks her a question. He's been doing this regularly for a few days.
This time, however, a package appears on the bartop. Enzo opens it, heaves a sigh of relief, and closes it again.
A further consultation with Bar ensues. Enzo looks uneasy at the conclusion, but nods. He writes a note and places it on the package; they both vanish, and Enzo sighs and heads out to the stables to work off some of his newly-acquired debt.
He's covered by his sister's tab, and young enough that he'd be provided for if he weren't, but some things, he thinks, he needs to pay for.
( for Tim Bisley )
Bobby is sitting at a booth in torn jeans, and ratty t-shirt and his face is unshaven. He's got five Rubic's cubes in front of him, and he is carefully and meticulously peeling and replacing the stickers on them to random squares so that the cubes are utterly unsolvable. He plans on leaving them in random places around the bar, later.
Feel free to smack him upside the head or say, "Hi!" or whatever.

Does your pup have angst? Woe? A vampire bite? Spent half the week thinking they're someone else?
Well tonight, the smell of yummy sausage rolls (regular, veggie and digital) is wafting across the bar.
If you follow the smell, you'll find a table surrounded by chairs, with more snack foods, tea, coffee and friendly company. And on that table is a big sign.
